Hi
I am a Software ENGINEER working in a good IT firm.But basically I am an Instrumentation Engineer and so working here I always find that I dont possess sufficient skills in Computer as compared to my collegues although I have always stood a topper in my own subject!!!!.Also I dislike software although like many others I also got a job in Software only after my Bachelor.Now I desparetly want to leave my job and get in CAT.I have been working for 15 months.And I am planning to give cat 2006.Can ne1 pls suggest me whether it is feasible for me to leave my job now and prepare for CAT while sitting at home.It is almost impossible to cope up with increasing work load,strong dislikeness for the work and to some extent incompetence in work bcos of insufficient knowledge.Will it be a -ve point for CAT if I remain unemployed for 1 yr even if my written percentile is very good?Pls suggest.....I am very much worried...
hi.how ya doin frnd.it wud hav been better if i wud hav mailed a little earlier thn u cud hav prepared fr cat 2005 itself bcoz u hav the advantage of 15 mnths work ex behind u.tht is always an advantage wen goin fr an mba.since the mba colgs always giv preference fr ppl with work experience.
waise u cud stil;l appear fr sum of the exams fr mba.CAT is already out.so no chance but u cud apply fr XAT as well as SNAP and JMET.by the way i started preparation fr CAT 1 and a half mnths bak and on my way to finishing my prep soon.waise i am at home just studyin fr tht purpose as i hav a joinin date with an mnc in december.
so i wud suggest 2 prepare fr any mba exam 3 mnths is sufficient time.u dont need 2 sit at home fr 1 yr.i wud suggest u buy study material frm ims bcoz thts the best and join sum all india test series and give it a try this year itself.
