hi

Nice topic but let me tell start by saying that why MBA even for a graduate.i have posted this topic in the forum long time back too ... let me put forward some points .
if you ask ny mba graduate what he learned in two years they say they learnd nothing. This is the fact friends when guys of IIM and IIFT used to take my interviews in CL. I m not against MBA as its the most sought after degree today obvioulsy it has some meaning to it, but again if we examine it carefully its just a ladder to earn good money and job.
One can expertise in any feild only if one goes ive with the work
Now prime minister doing MBA is as good as saying lets redifne our contitution and 4get all the successful ppl in the world who changed the destiny of their country. Ok let me site some ex Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru ... Abharam Lincoln, George Bush, Hitler can anyone tell me their qualifications????? m afraid plz do ome googling and get back to me. Leaders are born freinds not created. Ther should be no compulsion sayin our PM should be a MBA only than he can function properly. I dont need to cite examples of succesful leaders who didint have any qualification and yet achheived which no MBA Grads has done till date.
MBA is no big deal......give a thought to what i have siad would really appreciate if some1 contadicts the points i have put acrossed so that i come up with some more good points.

No, Not at all. A PM should be literate as far as educational background is concerened and moreover he should be practical and has the feeling of the mass. He should sense the need of the public and well application of mind. And for this my dear friend MBA is not compulsory.

I think the PM of India should have an MBA cos this is India and not the USA. If one has to stand up to modern thinking and stay up to the international standards, Indias PM should have an MBA under his belt. U may not learn anything in MBA but u certainly improve ur personality. And Indias PMs are usually low on it xompared to the international presidents. Moreover, comparing Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi to the modern world is, i guess, not practical. Though the majority of the people in India wouldnt bother whether the PM has an MBA or not, i think it will help him contrast a better personality to the International atmospher and thus, give him a more powerful stand.
