Hello. I was offered admission to IIM-C in 2002 but declined to take up an offer to work for a VC firm in Shanghai, China. I am now again thinking of going to B-school and have been polling a few friends and contacts in B schools to find out if they have preference for a certain kind of candidate.

What I'm hearing is that China is big and that Chinese language skills are bigger! China-related questions are increasingly popping up in group discussions. While-schools in the US and Europe are actively searching for candidates with China experience and language skills, Indian B-schools are not there yet but I suspect they will get there soon.

The Chinese Language Institute in Delhi is offering intensive Chinese courses starting ay 14. they're bringing in teachers from China and charging a reasonable price. Check out www.LearnChinese.in for details.

Regards,
