help me with thses sums want a explanation hw 2 go about
1) if ax+by/ a = bx-ay/ b tan each ratio is equal to
a)1 b)x c) a+b d) 1/a +1/b
2)let Z = 1+2+3+.....+200; x = sum of the no at odd places and y = sum of no at evn place tan value of y/x?
a)1.1 b)2.1 c) 2.01 d) none of these
3) if f(x) = log x^2 ;g(x) = 2log x; tan
a) f(x) &g(x) are identical funcations
b) f(x) &g(x) are nt identical
c)f(x)&g(x) are identical expct x=0
d)none of these

thanks for posting the questions,
your solutions are:
2) sum of no, at odd places = x = 1+3+5+...+99
by summation formula, Sn = n/2(2a+(n-1)d), where, n=50,a=1,d=2
so , Sn=25(100)=2500
and for y=2+4+6+-----100, n=50,a=2,d=2, put the values and find y
then take ratio x/y.
3)option c is write as both f(x) and g(x) are same only but if x=0, then the answer will be undefined
