The TANCET (Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test) for MBA and MCA is usually conducted on the third/last Sunday of May for the July Admissions.
The TANCET MBA paper usually has 100 questions across 5 sections. The duration of the test is 2 hours.
The five sections of the test are as follows:
Business Situation Analysis - A passage is given about a specific business situation followed by around 8 - 10 statements. Students have to evaluate the students and classify the statements into Objective, Factor, Assumption and Issue.
Reading Comprehension - This is your regular reading comprehension section where you are given a passage followed by 4 -5 questions related to the passage. Students have to choose the correct answer to the questions.
Sentence Correction - In each question, parts of the statement would be underlined. The student has to identify the part that has errors in usage, grammar or punctuation.
Quantitative Reasoning - The math part. Questions asked would include topics from Arithmetic, Algebra, geometry, permutation and combination, trigonometry....
Data Sufficiency - A question would be followed by two statements. The students have to determine whether the statements given are sufficient to answer the question. Data Sufficiency is usually math based. Topics would be similar to the ones in Quantitative Reasoning section.
If you are preparing for the TANCET and you have any queries in any of the sections, do post them here.... |
